NSF Gives TwISLE a Spin

Monday, August 18, 2014

The National Science Foundation has announced funding of a new CCT research project called TwISLE: Twitter and Informal Science Learning and Engagement.

Dr. Daniel Light, project PI, describes TwISLE as "our first attempt to explore social media in public science conversation and engagement."  The project will develop, pilot, and validate two research instruments to assess and evaluate the role of social media micro-blogging platforms (e.g., Twitter) in fostering informal science learning.

CCT researchers hope that this very novel project will open up a new body of work around STEM learning and social media.
