Our Directors
Cornelia Brunner, interim director of CCT, has been involved in the research, production, and teaching of educational technology in a variety of subject areas for more than thirty years. In addition to conducting research projects about the relationship among learning, teaching and technology, she has designed and implemented novel educational materials that use technology, in particular multimedia tools, to support inquiry-based learning and teaching in science, social studies, media literacy and the arts. She has worked extensively with the staff and students in many school environments on curriculum development projects, teacher support and training, and informal education. She has taught, at Bank Street College and at the Media Workshop of New York, experimental courses that introduce teachers to new technologies, that teach them how to integrate technology into their curriculum, and that teach them how to use multimedia-authoring tools to design their own educational programs. Dr. Brunner frequently serves as an industry consultant for the design of educational and entertainment products for children of all ages. She holds a doctorate in developmental psychology/psychology of art from Columbia University.
Laura Bryant, associate director for administration, has served as CCT's business manager since the organization's inception. She prepares and monitors budgets, manages the office, facilities and personnel, and serves as the liaison to EDC headquarters in Newton, Mass. She holds a bachelor's degree from Hunter College.
