Heather is currently a researcher on Zoom In. Prior to Zoom In, she worked on a variety of research, evaluation, and development projects at CCT, including Ready To Learn and Next Generation Preschool Math.
Heather is a licensed elementary teacher, and taught fourth grade before joining CCT. She also has experience teaching preschool, kindergarten, middle-grades summer school programs, and is a certified youth athletics coach for girls.
When not at CCT, Heather teaches Lego robotics, Scratch programming language, and computational thinking for preschoolers to fifth graders in after-school programs throughout New York City and New Jersey, as well as parent and child co-building robotics classes. She founded and writes a blog for families about discovering educational opportunities in everyday life.
Heather is currently earning a Master of Arts in Digital Media Design for Learning at New York University, and received her Bachelor of Arts in Education and Communications from Monmouth University.
