Building on our previous collaboration to track assessments of 21st century skills (Assess21), The Partnership for 21st Century Skills engaged CCT to develop a series of online resources to help states understand and support the teaching, learning and assessment of 21st century skills. We also identified state-level resources that address key educational components needed to bring those skills into the classroom.

To guide this work, we used a mixed methodologies approach to data collection, relying on phone and in-person interviews, on- and offline literature reviews, email correspondence and calls for submissions to P21 networks. We devised a set of criteria specific to each of the four content areas (formative assessment, professional development, standards and teaching + learning) to identify, evaluate and select resources for inclusion.

The online resources we created address frequently asked questions of educators, further describing the Partnership's 21st century skills framework and its application in key educational areas.
