What We Do
Design & Development
From conceiving learning games to developing video-based professional development tools and educational Web sites, CCT helps organizations realize their educational visions in a variety of media. We help corporate and non-profit partners conceptualize educational tools and provide the expertise to design and develop ideas into working prototypes. Our design work encompasses more than just product development, however. It often plays a significant role in shaping our partners' implementation strategies as well as intervention goals and expectations. Having conducted a great deal of situated research in the classroom, CCT staff brings an insider's perspective to educational design and development that helps organizations made greater inroads with their tools. Our design work also often feeds back into the research community's understanding of larger questions, such as how girls use technology and how teachers can foster student exploration of primary sources materials.
