In “The Need for Better Data about K-12 Online Learning: Starting with How and Why,” Dr. Peggy Clements discusses how our knowledge of the effectiveness of online learning on student achievement is hampered by a lack of basic data. “If we do not know what is happening,” Dr. Clements says, “it is impossible for us to learn if it is working.”
