Data Science and the Arts—Together at Last

In an article in the latest issue of the journal Information and Learning Sciences, Megan Silander and co-authors discuss their study of the design and implementation of arts-integrated data literacy units in middle-school classrooms.

The researchers found arts-integration to be a promising approach to building students' informal inferential reasoning skills, the ability to create and critique arguments with data.
