In a new post on EDC's Learning and Teaching Division blog, Dr. Jim Diamond outlines an approach to culturally relevant game design that can help persons of color and people from high-poverty communities begin to see themselves as "STEM people."
Diamond will present on our evaluation of a STEM game design curriculum by iDesign at the upcoming annual meeting of the American Educational Research Association. In the meantime, his article, "Connecting Underrepresented Youth to WTEM through Culturally Relevant Game Design" is available here.
