A Mindful MLK Day

Observed on the third Monday of each year, Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday can spark conversations about racial and economic equity as well as get students and teachers engaged in community service. It also can provide an opportunity to think about what media-whether archival news clips or sound recordings of Dr. King's speeches-say about social justice.
