Senior Researcher Shelley Pasnik featured in Education Week Live Chat

On Thursday, Jan. 12, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., Eastern time, Education Week will host a live online chat about the benefits and drawbacks of electronic textbooks.

In what ways are digital textbooks more effective learning tools than their print counterparts? Conversely, when is a traditional textbook a better learning tool? What states have incorporated electronic textbooks into their state textbook adoption processes? And what is the quality of today's digital textbooks?

Douglas Levin, the director of education policy for Cable in the Classroom; and Shelley Pasnik, a senior researcher for the Center for Children and Technology-EdWeek's guests-will address those and other questions.
