Michelle Armstrong is a Research Assistant II for CCT, providing support for the Center for Talented Youth-Goldman Sachs Scholars E-Mentoring program, a signature initiative project underwritten by the Goldman Sachs Foundation. In addition to establishing and monitoring mentor and student listservs for project sites in New York, Philadelphia, Los Angles, and San Francisco, she assists in the facilitation of both online and in-person discussions between project staff and participants. A native of Yorktown, Virginia, Michelle previously worked as the Resource Manager for Cooperating Hampton Roads Organizations for Minorities in Engineering (CHROME), a nonprofit consortium promoting access to, and achievement in, math, science, and technology for underrepresented minority and female students. She coordinated CHROME's teacher-training component and its regional student programs. Michelle is a 1995 graduate of Harvard University with a degree in social anthropology and is currently a Master of Arts candidate in sociology and education at Teachers College, Columbia University.
