In "As Taught on TV," in the Anniston (AL) Star, CCT Director Shelley Pasnik is interviewed about the role of the Children's Television Act in bringing more educational/informative children's programming to commercial TV. Pasnik points out that there are few formal studies that examine whether or not so-called "educational" children's shows actually teach anything. On the other hand, CCT has conducted evaluations of some PBS children's programs and found that they are effective in teaching math skills to young viewers.
