Leslie comes to CCT with 12 years’ experience working in ESL/EFL and youth outreach in the U.S., Chile, and Spain. While completing her master’s degree in international educational development at Teachers College, Columbia University, Leslie served as a research assistant on projects related to education and sustainable development in New York City schools, and the international assessment of student achievement. She also helped advance monitoring, research, and evaluation efforts through her summary of program and project evaluations carried out by ECLAC, a UN Commission based in Chile. She speaks fluent Spanish.

 Leslie’s main areas of interest in research include teacher education and professional development, information and communication technologies, and the influence of these on student learning, particularly English language learners and minority groups. At CCT, she is working on the PEEP and Monkeying Around projects.
