The National Science Foundation-funded project "FUN: A Finland US Network for Engagement and STEM Learning in Games" brings together researchers from several organizations in the field of game-based STEM learning. By facilitating communication among teams from WGBH, the Educational Gaming Environments group (EdGE) at TERC, and Northern Illinois University with teams from Aalto University and the Universities of Tampere and Jyvaskyla, the project aims to conduct cross-team studies looking for similarities and differences between the different cultures in the areas of game experience, gamer identity, science identity, and understanding of the nature of science. CCT 's collaborative work with WGBH on the Next Generation Preschool Math project is part of this ongoing dialogue.
