National Digital Library Teacher Institute
1996 to 1998
CCT helped U.S. teachers and librarians make powerful use of the Library of Congress' digitized primary source archives in American history and culture. Through online forums and a week-long institute in Washington, D.C., participants learn how to access and use electronic primary sources and also develop and publish their own teaching materials. The goal is to promote deeper historical inquiry, critical thinking, and students' ability to connect history to their own lives.
