We are working closely with program developers and designers at Sesame Workshop to provide formative and summative evaluations of Sesame programs that target early learning in a range of content areas. These programs seek to build on the engaging characters that Sesame Workshop has developed, integrate new approaches to using digital media to support learning, and create worthwhile experiences for early childhood educators, children, and their families.  Program materials provide hands-on as well as digital experiences for young children, and also provide information, resources, and supports for teachers and families seeking to further early learning opportunities for young children.  Video clips and computer- and mobile-device–based games all work together to provide young children with multiple experiences with common themes, language, and tasks that target specific skills or concepts.  Research outcomes are used to support further development and refinement of the Sesame programs.
