• Digital Promise and Education Development Center (EDC), in partnership with public preschool teachers, families from historically excluded communities, and curricula and media designers at WGBH Educational Foundation (GBH), co-designed a program that could be feasibly implemented across school and home to meaningfully promote science with young children.
• Integrating science into common classroom activity formats and linking science with math and engineering increases the likelihood that science is introduced early in childhood and creates unique opportunities for multidisciplinary learning.
• Findings from a field study show that children in classrooms that implemented the program made significantly more improvement in science learning than their peers in comparison classrooms.
