We conducted an evaluation of the grantees of the AOL Foundation's Interactive Education Initiative. The foundation funded 54 educational technology projects in schools, community-based organizations, and youth-serving institutions around the country. Evaluation goals included documenting grantee characteristics; identifying factors that promoted or impeded success; identifying projects that exemplified best practices and leveraged grant funds; and assisting the foundation in selecting projects that could benefit from additional funding.
