Seeking to connect children to the history, resources and artifacts held within its collections, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Children's Museum and the Brooklyn Public Library, teamed up in a development effort to create an interactive Web site that promotes online explorations of these artifacts. CCT evaluated the site, called Brooklyn Expedition, which weaves photographs and descriptions of objects, structures and people taken from all three institutions into online artifacts that illustrate and convey history to children, ages 9-14, teachers and families.

CCT studied children's use of the Web site in gallery and classroom settings; assessed how teachers and children learn to use the materials; and created online surveys for users of the Web site. Website: http://www.brooklynexpedition.org/
