CCT received funding from the Partnership for 21st Century Skills to devise a comprehensive strategy for designing and developing indicators to measure, and raise public awareness for, 21st century skills throughout the U.S. educational system. As part of the work, CCT drafted a proposal identifying student indicators, teacher indicators, and school readiness indicators for the Partnership's board to consider. CCT also formulated a proposed index that makes it possible to measure our nation's progress in promoting the learning and assessment of 21st century skills over time as well as in comparison to other nations.
