Roshni Menon joined EDC's Center for Children and Technology in April 2005. She is working on the evaluation of Intel® Teach programs, mostly assessing the effectiveness of their international programs.

Roshni brings both research and evaluation experience to CCT, having worked for over five years on basic and applied research projects. She was a Research Assistant on a longitudinal study looking at socialization of emotional competence in Mexican-American Head Start families with children ages 3 to 5 in Southwestern United States. Her focus in this study was on parental values, which kindled an interest in parental beliefs and their formation and maintenance that culminated in a dissertation exploring the same constructs. She also worked as a Research Assistant, later Associate, on several applied research projects within the Arizona Cooperative Extension, including youth development work, maintaining evaluation websites, and conducting several evaluation workshops.

She is mainly interested in cultural influences on human development. Her research interests currently encompass cross-cultural issues in school reform and the culture of teaching and learning; she also looks forward to further examining how parents (or teachers) maintain and revise their belief systems.

Roshni earned her doctorate in Family Studies and Human Development from the University of Arizona. Her master's and bachelor's degrees are in Psychology from the University of Kerala in India.
