TeachNet New York is one of nine TeachNet affiliates working to foster teacher professional development and improve student achievement by supporting teacher production and dissemination of Web-based curriculum materials. In addition, TeachNet is building an online and offline professional community of educators who can support each other as they work to integrate technology into their curricula.

To evaluate TeachNet's progress toward meeting their goals, we conducted a two-year formative evaluation of the project. CCT examined the principal benefits teachers derived from the program, the strengths and weaknesses of TeachNet's use and Web-based dissemination of curriculum materials, the challenges to expanding the program's scale, and ways to measure student learning.
