Second Stage of Access: Promising Practices in Technology and Equity
1999 to 2001

Recent surveys suggest that technology access--defined by numbers of computers and Internet connections in schools--is becoming more equitable across communities and school districts. There is little clear information, however, on how technology integration fits into the broader process of achieving educational equity. This research project helped illustrate how to address access and equity in a coordinated way.
