Key questions to be addressed by the formative evaluation are:

1. What aspects of the VHOS project impede or support implementation of the program as designed? This question refers to the experiences of both professional staff from NYHS and participating Explainers and students.

2. What STEM and ICT workforce skills do participants put into practice during the construction and facilitation of the VHOS?

3. Are youth who develop the site and the site's visitors able to identify the key science concepts conveyed through the interactives?

Key questions for the outcome evaluation are:

1. Do participants report retaining key STEM knowledge and ICT competencies over time?

2. Do participants report building on and expanding the STEM knowledge and lCT competencies they developed through designing and hosting virtual interactives?
