Trends in Use of Handheld Technology to Support Student Reading Assessment

In this presentation artifact, we highlight findings from our research into the use of handheld technology to support the assessment of student reading skills. Based on data compiled from numerous site visits, the presentation slides cover the influence of handhelds on school system efficiency, assessment feedback loops, professional development, home-school communication, and classroom instruction, as well as challenges associated with the new technology and its use.
