The impact of new technologies on the study of history and social studies is too often overlooked, but has been a persistent theme in CCT's work for many years. Digital archives have created new opportunities for young people to take on the work of disciplinary professionals-to engage with primary source materials that previously were accessible only to specialists. CCT has worked with expert teachers, librarians, and archivists to explore how best to organize online materials, how to provide curricular surrounds that support productive examination of these artifacts, and how to support teachers who seek to make use of these resources.
