Evaluation of Live @ the Exploratorium: Origins Evaluation
2000 to 2004

The Exploratorium in San Francisco conducted a three-year project to develop experimental webcasts as well as related Internet resources and museum activities. The project used new communications technologies to link a national Internet audience with current research efforts at observatories around the world where scientists are investigating the origins of matter, the universe, the earth, and life.

We evaluated the impact of this program on on-site and online visitors to see how this resource helps develop understanding of scientific process and promote public interest and discourse around large-scale scientific endeavors.
