Development of an Early Mathematics Assessment to Evaluate the Promise of a Program for Families

Across the educational spectrum, parent and caregivers' beliefs align with research that shows that educational media and technology, when used in developmentally appropriate ways, can promote children'slearning. This study—part of the summative evaluation of the CPB-PBS Ready To Learn Initiative, which is supported by the Department of Education—aimed to examine the impact of a home intervention that included high-quality digital resources for children and parents and provided supports to help guide parents toward scaffolding their child's engagement and learning.
